Eastern Health is excited to announce MRI services are now available at Maroondah Hospital. The state-of-the-art wide bore Philips 3T MRI scanner in conjunction with the Philips Ambient Experience, provides superior imaging quality and enhanced patient comfort.

Low Dose, High Resolution CT
Recent audits show CTs performed at Eastern Health Medical Imaging are low dose and significantly lower than the national (ARPANSA) reference standards.
For example, the radiation dose received during a Chest CT at Eastern Health Medical Imaging is 62% lower, an Abdominal/Pelvic CT 59% lower and a Chest/Abdominal/Pelvic CT 59% lower than the national standard.
This is especially reassuring for younger patients or people who require multiple CT scans. These low doses can be achieved due to our highly experienced staff and the latest technology CT scanners.
New 1300 Centralised Bookings Number
1300 668 578 is the new Centralised Bookings number for Eastern Health Medical Imaging introduced for increased patient convenience. The centralised bookings team ensure patients are booked for the earliest suitable Medical Imaging appointment.

New Digital Mammography at Maroondah Hospital is now available to hospital and community referrers. This state of the art technology has been installed to enhance early diagnosis of breast cancer and provide increased reassurance in normal cases.
